Scribbl Desktop

Record Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with no bot in the call.

Scribbl Desktop runs on your own computer and records the call the same way you hear it. Notes, action items, transcript, and video land in the same library as your Google Meet calls.

Free for 7 days from your first recorded meeting, then included with any paid plan.

On Google Meet? You do not need this. Meet is covered by the Chrome extension. Most people run both.

Three people on the call, three people in the list. Scribbl is not one of them.

Recording from your machine, not from the meeting.
No bot, on Zoom and Teams too

Nothing joins the call. There is nothing to admit.

Scribbl Desktop records from your own machine, the same way you already hear the call. No extra participant appears in the list, nobody has to let it in, and no one gets an email saying a notetaker was added.

It notices for you

Open a Zoom or Teams call and it is already recording.

The app watches for a supported meeting window and starts on its own. There is no button to remember, and joining late still gets you everything from the moment you arrived.

Same library, same notes

A Zoom call lands next to your Meet calls.

Notes, action items, the full transcript with speakers, and the video all arrive in the same place, with the same search across them. Your meetings do not split into two products just because the client picked a different link.

Questions people ask

Does Scribbl Desktop record Google Meet?

No, and it does not need to. Google Meet is handled by the Scribbl Chrome extension, which records inside the browser tab. The desktop app is for Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Most people end up with both, and everything lands in one library.

How does the free trial work?

You get 7 days, and the clock starts on your first recorded meeting rather than on the day you install. After that, desktop recording is included with any paid Scribbl plan. It is not a separate purchase and it is not limited to the Team plan.

Does anyone in the meeting know?

Nothing appears in the participant list and nothing is announced. Recording laws vary by region, so tell people you are recording where you need to.

What does it need access to?

Screen and audio recording permission from your operating system, granted once on first run. On a Mac, macOS will prompt you for it and you may need to restart the app afterwards.

Mac and Windows?

Both, with one requirement worth checking first. The Mac app needs Apple Silicon, meaning an M1 or newer. There is no build for older Intel Macs, so if that is your machine the desktop app will not run and Zoom and Teams are not available to you yet. Windows needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The app updates itself, so you install it once.

Windows warned me about the download

That is expected right now and it is our fault, not yours. The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows a blue warning. Choose More info and then Run anyway. We are working through signing so the warning goes away.
