How do I set up Scribbl for Google Meet?

You do not need a paid Google Workspace plan. Scribbl works the same on a free Gmail account as on a paid Google Workspace account.

1. Open the Scribbl listing on the Chrome Web Store and add it to Chrome.
2. Sign up for Scribbl, or sign in.
3. Join your next Google Meet call in Chrome the way you always do.

That is the whole setup. When the call ends, the notes, the transcript and the video are in your Scribbl account.

No. Nothing joins the participant list and nobody has to admit anything. Scribbl shows a small bar at the top of your own Meet tab, and only you can see it.

Not from Google Meet. Google Meet's own recording notice only appears when Google's own tools are on, so it does not appear for Scribbl. Tell people at the start of the call that you are taking notes and recording, the same as you would with any recording. Recording laws vary by region, so make sure you have the consent you need from the people in your meetings.

Yes. Google's Record button only works for the host, co-hosts and people in the host's organization, and only when the host's plan includes recording. Scribbl runs in your own Chrome, so it works when you are a guest in another company's meeting, or when the host has turned on host controls.

AI notes, action items, a transcript with speaker names and timestamps, and the video, on one page in your Scribbl account. Clicking a line in the transcript jumps the video to that moment. No. The Chrome extension is for Google Meet only. Zoom and Microsoft Teams use Scribbl Desktop, for Mac with Apple silicon and Windows. See Zoom setup and Microsoft Teams setup. Most people run both, and every meeting lands in the same Scribbl account.
