Gong vs Fireflies: pick Fireflies if you want published prices, a free plan and a note taker you can start today, and pick Gong if you run a sales team buying a full revenue platform on a custom quote. Gong prices per user plus a platform fee and lists no free plan, while Fireflies starts free and its Pro plan is $10 per seat per month billed annually.

Scribbl is the pick over both. Gong and Fireflies both record with a bot in the call by default. With Scribbl, nothing joins the call, and every sales call gets the video, a transcript with speaker names, AI notes and action items, on Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with the follow-up email drafted and the CRM note logged. Every price and fact below was checked on Gong's and Fireflies' official pages on October 19, 2026.

Start free: no bot for a prospect to notice, no quote to wait for, and the free plan includes Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with 10 meetings a month.

Gong vs Fireflies pricing

Free plans

  • Gong: no free plan is listed on its pricing page.
  • Fireflies Free: 3 meetings, or unlimited transcription with auto-join on; 400 minutes of storage; limited AI summaries; 20 AI credits a month; recordings up to 2 hours. Downloading transcripts needs a paid plan.
  • Scribbl free plan: the free plan includes Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with 10 meetings a month. Each one gets the video, a transcript with speaker names, AI notes and action items, and nothing joins the call.

The bot in the call

On sales calls, the bot is the part prospects see.

Gong. Gong's help center says Gong joins the meeting as a virtual participant and records the call, and that in Zoom the Gong recorder appears in the attendee list like any other participant. The bot is available on all of Gong's web conferencing integrations, including Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Native recording, with no recorder in the meeting, is only available with Zoom. If a meeting has a waiting room, the host must admit the bot before recording starts.

Fireflies. Fireflies.ai Notetaker (fred@fireflies.ai) joins through auto-join, a calendar invite or the "Add to live meeting" button, and a host must admit it if there's a waiting room or lobby. Its Chrome extension records Google Meet with no bot, but Fireflies captures video only on calls where the bot joins.

Scribbl. Nothing joins the call. On Google Meet it's a Chrome extension, and on Zoom and Teams it's Scribbl Desktop for Mac with Apple silicon and Windows. The prospect sees only the people they invited, and you still get the video. Whatever tool you use, tell everyone you're recording at the start of the call.

Do it with Scribbl

No bot on the call, no quote, and the video of every sales call. Three steps:

  1. 1

    Add Scribbl

Add the Chrome extension for Google Meet, or install Scribbl Desktop on your Mac (Apple silicon) or Windows computer for Zoom and Teams. Turn off auto-join in Fireflies, or ask your Gong admin to stop recording your calls, so only one tool takes notes.

  2. 2

    Join the call as usual

Nothing joins the call, and you don't need to be the host. Tell everyone you're recording at the start.

  3. 3

Open the notes when the call ends

The video, a transcript with speaker names, AI notes and action items are on one page, and Automations draft the follow-up email and log the note in HubSpot or Pipedrive.

Integrations and the CRM

Gong. Gong's pricing page says you can integrate your existing tech stack for free. Its products include Gong Engage, Gong Forecast and Gong Enable, sold to revenue teams.

Fireflies. Fireflies says it connects to more than 50 apps and that all integrations are available on every plan, including Free. Conversation intelligence and team analytics are on Business.

Scribbl. Scribbl's integrations do the follow-up after each sales call. Smart Collections sort your calls by themselves, for example into "discovery calls" or "renewals". When a call lands in a collection, Automations draft the follow-up email (you copy it or open it in Gmail; it never sends by itself), log a note in HubSpot or Pipedrive, post to Slack or Microsoft Teams, open an Asana, Monday, Linear or Jira ticket, or add a row to a Google Sheet. They ask before they change anything by default. On Pro you can also connect Scribbl to ChatGPT or Claude and ask about past calls, like "What objections came up in this week's discovery calls?"

Privacy: AI training and your data

  • Gong. Gong's trust center says your data is never used to train generative AI models and is never shared with or exposed to the public domain.
  • Fireflies. Fireflies' pricing page says your data is never used for AI training or any purpose outside your direct business needs.
  • Scribbl. Recordings are private by default, and Scribbl doesn't use your meetings to train AI for anyone other than you.

Gong or Fireflies: which should you choose?

Between the two: Gong is a revenue platform sold by quote, with a platform fee and no free plan. Fireflies is a note taker with published prices and a free plan. Both put a bot in your sales calls by default.

Scribbl is the pick for most teams comparing these two:

  • Nothing joins the call on Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, so there's no bot for a prospect to notice or a host to admit.
  • The video, a transcript with speaker names, AI notes and action items for every call, on every plan.
  • Prices you can see. The free plan includes Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with 10 meetings a month. Pro is $13 per user per month billed annually, or $20 monthly.
  • The follow-up gets done. Automations draft the email and log the CRM note in HubSpot or Pipedrive.
