How Scribbl gets meeting notes into Notion

Scribbl does the two jobs in order: first it decides which meeting this is, then it does the follow-up for that kind of meeting.

  • Smart Collections sort meetings by themselves. You describe a collection in plain words, such as "calls with customers about renewals" or "candidate interviews", and each new meeting is sorted into the collections it fits.
  • Automations run when a meeting lands in a collection. One of the things an Automation can do is save the meeting's notes to Notion. The same Automation can also draft the follow-up email (copy it or open it in Gmail; it never sends by itself), post a summary to Slack or Microsoft Teams, log a note in HubSpot or Pipedrive, save to Google Drive or Confluence, open an Asana, Monday, Linear or Jira ticket, or add a Google Sheet row.
  • They ask before they change anything, by default. You see what's about to be saved and confirm it, until you decide to let a given Automation run on its own.

In plain words: the kind of meeting whose notes belong in Notion. Scribbl sorts each new meeting into it by itself.

  3. 3

Add an Automation that saves the notes to Notion

Choose where in Notion the notes should go. By default it asks before saving, so you can confirm the first few.

  4. 4

    Join your meetings as usual

Tell everyone you're recording. When the meeting ends, the meeting page has the video recording, a transcript with speaker names, AI notes and action items.

  5. 5

    Find the notes in Notion

The notes are saved to the page you chose, and the full meeting stays in Scribbl, where you can also connect ChatGPT or Claude and ask about past meetings on Pro.

Meeting notes into Notion with Scribbl Scribbl records the meeting from your own computer; nothing joins the call. The Automation saves the notes to the Notion page you chose.

The free plan includes Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with 10 meetings a month. Pro is $13 per user per month billed annually, or $20 monthly (pricing). The full list of what Automations connect to is on integrations.

What stays with you. Recordings are private by default, and Scribbl doesn't use your meetings to train AI for anyone other than you. Nothing joins the call on any platform: Google Meet runs from the Chrome extension, Zoom and Teams from Scribbl Desktop on Mac (Apple silicon) and Windows. Say you're recording at the start of each meeting.

Scribbl vs Notion AI Meeting Notes

Notion has its own note taker, AI Meeting Notes: a block you type /meet to add, which transcribes the meeting through the Notion desktop app and writes a summary with action items on the same page. We cover it in full, with Notion's limits and consent settings, in Notion AI Meeting Notes: how to use it, what it costs, and its limits. The part that matters for choosing:

The arithmetic is the deciding factor for most teams. Notion charges Business for every member of the workspace, so a team of 5 pays $1,200 a year billed yearly to get meeting notes, and still has no video. Scribbl's notes go into the Notion workspace you already have, on whatever Notion plan it's on.

How the other note takers connect to Notion

Each of the other well-known note takers has a Notion connection. Here is what each vendor's own page says, checked October 19, 2026, with Scribbl first.

tl;dvSummaries with links to recording clips, from the integrations tab in tl;dv (tl;dv Notion page)The page says data moves without further action after setupNot stated on the pageYes, a bot that joins at the scheduled time (tl;dv help)
Read AISub-pages or a database called Read AI Meeting Notes, with the transcript optional (Read help)Optional automatic push, or Push to from each reportA premium integration: Pro, Enterprise or Enterprise+ onlyYes, as a participant (Read AI for Teams)
GranolaA database Granola creates, one note at a time from the share menu (Granola docs)No. "Notes are not pushed to Notion automatically"; Granola suggests ZapierNot stated on the pageNo, but it keeps no recording

What this means in practice:

  • If the Notion notes have to be automatic, the free bot tools make you pay for part of it. Fireflies puts transcripts behind Pro; Read AI puts the whole integration behind Pro; Fathom and Granola point you at Zapier or Make for automation.
  • If the meeting matters, the bot is the problem. Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, tl;dv and Read AI join as a participant, so the host sees them, Microsoft Teams holds them in the lobby until an organizer admits them, and companies that block bots stop them at the door. See why companies block AI meeting bots.
  • Scribbl does both. Nothing joins, the notes go to Notion by themselves, and the video and transcript stay with you.
